  Education Requirements: Grade 10 or equivalent.

  Training Hours: Complete 6,600 hours of on-the-job training and three 8-week in-class technical training sessions for this apprenticeship.

  Construction boilermakers assemble and repair mammoth boilers, blast furnaces, pressure vessels, and power generating storage tanks. The size of these tanks means that they often work at great heights. Construction boilermakers work with hand and power tools. They often work in cramped, noisy conditions and can be exposed to chemical vapours.
